About Me
I have been an avid photographer for most of my life, beginning with Photography Club in middle school. I always enjoyed nature photography along with documenting vacations and travels, and developed and printed my own photos. I've entered a few amateur competitions over the years and have received a couple of awards. It has been a fun and creative hobby.
My wife is an artist and about 10 years ago I began photographing her paintings so we could make giclee prints and other reproductions. I was surprised how challenging it was to obtain a quality photograph of a painting, and there began my search to learn how the professionals did it. After more than a year of perfecting the process I felt I was finally producing quality images, and began to photograph for friends who were artists as well as print our own giclee reproductions.
After retiring we moved from Oregon to Oro Valley in 2018 and I began looking for artists that needed a photographer. I’ve had the pleasure in recent years to photograph watercolor, oil
and acrylic paintings for a number of local people.
You may have tried to photograph your own works and have realized the challenge. My goal in working with you is to help you pursue your dream by providing you with quality images for reproductions or your portfolio at an affordable price. I photograph in my home and I’ve developed a friendly and relaxed relationship with the artists I’ve worked with.
